Hello everyone! Welcome back to Twinkle Talks Excel Tips. Learning new techniques and tips enhances the opportunity to gain confidence while doing work in MS Excel sheets. I am here to teach some new tips today. With the help of this article, I will teach you how to add a superscript to the data within a fraction of second by using a simple trick. Explanation with an Example

• In this example, we have a list of some people who donated money to the charity.
• The work we have to do is simply to add superscript (st, nd etc.) to the serial numbers.

How to add Superscript to the data?

• We have the data as below, we need to add superscript to the serial numbers.

Step 1: Type “st” after number 1

Step 2: Select the data

• Select the data that you want to change into superscript.
• In this example, I selected the “st” word.
• Why? Because I want to make it a superscript to the serial numbers.

Step 3: Press Ctrl + 1

• After selecting the data press Ctrl + 1.

• You will get a box regarding “Format cells” like below.
• Select the “Superscript” option available at “Effects” section and select the font style, size and color as you like.
• Hit the “Enter” button.

Step 4: Drag the cells

• After hitting the “Enter” button you will get the results like below picture.
• Select the cell and drag it up to the required cells.

• Let assume we have the below data after.

• After applying the superscript to the serial numbers you will get the results like below table.
